Join us in community for an evening of sound, snacking, socializing and supporting!
ALL ARE WELCOME to join us on the Winter Solstice - December 21st - for a free community event as we join together in good company and in support of those in need in our city. We’ll begin with a free sound bath at 4:30pm offered from the bottom of Janice Samuelson’s heart, then we’ll join together for some festive socializing over snacks and treats in the Retreat lobby. In addition to a snack item to contribute to our potluck, we’re also asking that you please bring a food item from your pantry to support Austin-based Hope Pantry! Please do not purchase items to donate - simply bring something you already have. This action reminds us of the abundance in our lives, and that we have MORE THAN ENOUGH…so let’s share with those who do not! (For a list of items needed by Hope Pantry, go here.)
During our time together, we’ll gather in community to celebrate and reflect on this time of moving from darkness to LIGHT! The Winter Solstice marks the exact moment that Earth is tilted the farthest away from the sun, and it’s happening at the exact moment around the world! It symbolizes humanity as ONE. Our community is so special and so strong and TOGETHER we will continue to do GOOD THINGS into the New Year.
The sound bath is free and 1st come, 1st serve! Please register at the button below SOON to reserve your spot! If you can’t make it to the sound bath, but would like to join for the potluck, please come at 5:30pm. If you’re unable to bring an item for the potluck, no worries! Come anyway!
