I have been teaching Yoga and mindfulness for over 15 years, with a passion to share a practice that begins with a stretch and evolves into a new perspective on life itself. When I began my practice and my teaching, it was a way of cultivating a physical wellness. As I continued to teach and study, I embraced a practice that helped me find my way into the present moment, build strength and flexibility and find a fresh perspective. I loved sharing the practice and watching my students learn and grow in their own ways. I believe that Yoga can help everyone, and that the practice meets you where you are, wherever that is. Further, the practice supports you to be more effective in everything you do. I have learned this year, as we've all faced challenges we never even imagined, that the practice can be a real touchstone and lifeline for balance and resilience.
I have had the opportunity to study with many brilliant and compassionate teachers. My approach to teaching is eclectic and practical. I love teaching from the structure of the energy center, or chakras, and from all 8 limbs of Yoga. I most recently completed the iRest Yoga Nidra certification, and am committed to holding space for meditative contemplation. I enjoy teaching classes, workshops and retreats, in-person and live-streaming. It has been a true privilege to bring Yoga into studios, schools, meetings, and workplaces over the years.
I have been teaching at Mantra Yoga Collective since the doors of Studio Mantra opened in 2015. It is an honor to be in this community of love and support and vision.
