Full Moon Yoga & Sound Bath

Join us at the Retreat for a MAGICAL event to celebrate the rising of September’s Full Harvest Moon! Janice and Jessica will lead us through a lovely evening filled with gentle movement and sound, offering us the opportunity to practice letting go as we welcome the ongoing cycles and seasons of life.

Each month’s full moon was named by ingenious peoples to represent the happenings of the natural world around them during the time each moon was named. The full moons would guide them throughout the year as they prepared for seasonal changes in the environment… like upcoming weather conditions, changes in food supply, etc. The Harvest Moon was a sign that the fall crops were ready to be harvested… a crucial shift in nature’s cycles in the preparation for Winter. Tribes would gather to feast, dance, connect, and offer thanks as they began preparations for the coming cold weather.

The Harvest Moon symbolizes a time to harvest and claim all you've learned from and grown through over the Summer, as you now consciously release what is no longer serving you as we approach the new season! It’s also a time of ABUNDNACE and GRATITUDE for all the good things in life that bring us joy and fill and our FULL lives!

During our Full Moon Yoga + Sound Bath, Janice and Jessica will lead us through a relaxing yoga practice as we prepare our bodies to receive the vibrations of sound from various instruments - including chimes, flutes, singing bowls and the gong. You will leave feeling relaxed, renewed and nourished…and ready to receive and appreciate the abundant energy of the Harvest Moon.
