The Gathering

Friends, we believe your voice is valuable & your experience is valid.  We'd like to invite you to join us in practicing yoga in action, in practicing anti-racism, in engaging together in community talks on social justice issues, and in taking meaningful action together.

At this Gathering, we'll be discussing how to do social justice work in your family and close friend circles. We felt this would be an appropriate and hopefully useful topic to fortify ourselves with compassion during the holidays.

Meetings are free and open to all. You are not obligated to stay the whole time; you are not obligated to turn your camera or microphone on.  You can participate in the way that feels authentic to you.  If you identify as a person of color, a trans* person, a queer person or a disabled person, should you choose join & to share, your voice and experience will be uplifted.

If you’re curious, here’s how the meetings usually go down:

-Welcome, Intros, review Agreements

-5-minute Centering Practice

-Contemplative practice & group discussion centering around the meeting’s topic

-End conversation by 2:45

-*2:45 - we’ve added an extra 15 minutes to the meeting to share resources, calls to action, to choose future meeting discussion topics, and assign roles for the next meeting!
